Modules 1- 8 are assessed during the face-to-face part of the course. 

1. Understand the role and responsibilities of the paediatric first aider

There is no previous experience required for this course, but learners must be over the age of 14. 

You must have a good understanding of basic English and basic IT skills to navigate the online module. 

It is also a requirement of the course that you are able to attend a one day face to face course in order to receive your certificate. The face to face part of the course will require a certain degree of physical activity such as kneeling to perform CPR. 

The course will be assessed by a short multichoice questionnaire at the end of the online module in order to assess your knowledge and understanding. A practical assessment will take place on the day of your face-to-face module. 

This online module is used to work towards a certificate in ‘Paediatric first aid’ 

You will receive a certificate for completing the online module that will need to be retained for attendance on the face-to-face part of your course.
